the long awaited pictures of our costume?

satoru here~

finally the rush period of our making of costume is finished. and went for a small event which doesnt seem to actually be fun at all. -ended up sitting for the whole event-

anyways one pictures for the curious ones.

(left to right: rika as karakuri burst rin, me(satoru) as karakuri burst len)

everything was selfmade. except for the wigs (we cant make them can we?) and the shoes.

rushed everything out within a few days~ that was horrible. rika's wig is not listening to us and kept droping resulting in a huge pain. my eyepatch was the same story, until i stuck it to underneath the wig. =.=

anyways. late story is late. here i bring to you some photos of my alice in wonderland shots. /shot

Review on Dark Royalties

Whee~ Hey there! Rika here, yet again.

Today I'm going to give you a review on this shop we found at Far East Plaza (Singapore, people, Singapore XD ). But first, let's have a how-to-get-there!

  1. Go to Orchard MRT. You'll want to remember that it's on the red line. Kay~?
  2. Proceed to Exit A. There are numerous exits in an MRT station, they're usually numbered by alphabets. Keep your eyes open!
  3. Keep on going straight through a tunnel, and take the escalator in front. Then take the nearest escalator you see. (Oh fine, it's hidden by a wall. '3' )
  4. You'll be out on the main road now! Turn right!
  5. Keep on walking, past Hyatt hotel, into Far East Plaza~
  6. Go up to the second floor!
  7. Turn left, and yeah, keep on walking, we want you ALL the way at the left side of the plaza.
  8. You should see LIPS Enterprise. No, that's not your destination. Turn left s'more and go straight.
  9. Turn into this little alley that looks a bit outta place.
  10. Go all the way to the end, it's the last shop.
And you will see:
So we saw, we went, and we squealed (or, to save Satoru's seemingly existent pride, I), and we went in and checked it out! Let's start with the easier stuff first, no? The service was good. -voice drops to a dramatic whisper- They let us take photos. -reverts back- The staff were helpful and willing to recommend us certain items, and answer our questions. So yes, that's about it I suppose. Not. Hee hee. The items!

The prices ranges from $40 to below $200. The dresses are obviously more expensive, but we believe that it's worth it. ^^

So final summary: The selection, although limited, are of good quality. And some of them are really, really pretty. -eyes sparkles- The service is helpful (compared to snobby shopkeepers). The only downfall, however, is the inconvenience in getting to the shop itself.

I suppose that's it. XD Satoru will pick up on whatever I missed.

Rika, signing off.

whesh! satoru here. rika has cover most of the main parts i will just go deeper neh~

as my phone cant transfer pictures to the computer, i will be using the pictures i found on their site.

service: real awesome. the employers are young people and somehow of stereotypical thinking. you may think that they may be the really annoying ones. =v=a mah... not to worry! they are really social able!

products:

http://darkroyalties.com.sg/index.php/dark-royalties/wa-lolita/wa-lolita-kimono-lolita-116.html
http://darkroyalties.com.sg/index.php/dark-royalties/dresses/gothic-lolita-dress.html

as i am not really knowledgeable about wa-lolita. i cant say much. but i love their quality even if the prices is really out of my budget. TvT sometimes i wish i can have more money. ah.... back to the topic. limited choices online, but more in the shop.

conclusion:
wonderful product but, as a student prices are over the top. OTL if i have the money i would buy products there. a DO-WANT in my list and a MUST-GO-SPOT in my list.

miku wig 'tutorial'

Wow, i decided to post this. XD anyways, this weekend i was busy untangling my miku extensions, 120cm. very tangled. DX

so this is the photo of both, after and before picture~

firstly, the horribly tangled one.

when untangled

tips:
-start from the bottom. never do it all at one go. hair ball increase will be a definite
-section by section. save all the "OMG. why is it tangled again?!" of course put it far far away from the rest*cough*tie it up*cough*
-untangle all at one go. hair love to get tangled every time so, thats why do it finish all at a go
-invest in a wig comb. trust me. it helps. -from my experience-
-plait it if you are afraid that it would get tangled again *cough*likeme*cough*
-just comb. it would be for the best
-hate tangles, DON'T get a curly wig. they get tangled super easily. -have no tips for this, cause i dont have curly wigs-

i only got one small hair ball from this two extensions,

how to do it:
1) put it at a high high place that you can comfortably comb there for at least for an hour or so.
2)comb the bottom to top. stop if the tangles are getting to much and then slowly untangle that.
3)take away that section
4)repeat

suitable for the wigs that around that tangled. i never tried it on a very tangled wig before.
anyways, if you still are afraid, dont do long hair characters then.

Donuts

Hello, Rika here~ Yesterday me and Satoru bought 350g worth of donut mix and made some... and so the results turned out like this:
Not bad right? We didn't bother with the holes, and some were only slightly burnt. But I would like to call this a success, considering that they were fried to 'golden brown perfection'.

Here are the ingredients and equipment required:
  • 350g of donut mix
  • around 180 ml to 200 ml of water/milk (whatever floats your boat)
  • cooking oil
  • frying pan
  • bowl
  • moist cloth
  • mixer
  • rolling pin
So, now for the steps~
  1. Mix donut mix and water/milk together in a bowl with a mixer (we kneaded it by hand though)
  2. Let it stand for 25 min, covering it with a moist cloth (it WILL grow BIGGER. Trust me, it did)
  3. Flatten and fold into three parts with a rolling pin, and let it stand for another 5 min.
  4. Cut/tear/rip into pieces. You can't fry the whole thing at once now, can you?
  5. Then FRY it in the frying pan! One at a time, two if you're capable, and three if you're hungry (like Satoru was)
  6. Let it cool.
There you have it! Edible donuts. At least we didn't have food poisoning... XD

Tips~?
  • Constantly move the pieces of donut about while frying, to ensure it doesn't stick to the pan. Nor burn.
  • If you really think you cannot handle a lot at once, then do one at a time. No need to show off your cooking prowess when it comes to multi-tasking.
  • We actually skipped Step 3, so we have no idea what it does. If you know, do tell.
  • Maybe you can put jam or chocolate inside, then fry. Who knows? Maybe you'll like it.
Hee hee. It tasted rather nice, and we certainly will do it again sometime. Thank you for reading!

Rika.

Welcome!

Hee hee. Rika, reporting for duty~

Eh... I suppose a welcome is in order. Welcome from Rika and Satoru! There, done. First thing down.

Let's see... I'm not so sure what to put in an opening post, so I guess I'll go with the wonderful me's general auto-biography. I'm almost 15, I live in Singapore - a little red dot - and I'm an otaku, and proud of it. I'm also obsses- I mean, a fan of The World Ends With You (TWEWY for short) or aka Subarashiki Kono Sekai. My favourite character in it is Joshua Kiryuu, and I write fanfics based off it.

Satoru-chan over there is a bit shy, so don't mind her if she talks a bit weird. Right now she's going 'the shit' and 'the hell' for some reason I am not completely aware of. Oh, she just went 'what the hell', now what's THAT for? Really now, you should watch your mouth. Hee hee.

Ok, I've said enough about myself. Oh, and I LOVE chocolate. I can eat 2 Cadbury bars in a day. I mean, everyone just loves chocolate, don't they? Now passing over to Satoru~

satoru here~ apparently rika there likes purple so the font is purple~ and dont mind what she says about me there.

anyways. welcome~ and as you see already its a blog with 2 people~ e'nuff said. I am lazy so.... lets leave those complicated stuff for later~

Hee hee. That's called procrastinating, Satoru. Anyway, thank you for reading up until now. We'll be back with more posts! See you then~
